Who we are

Field & Fur Pet Care is a sole-trader pet care business based in Leighton Buzzard, Bedfordshire. We are the data controller for the personal information you provide to us.

What data we collect

When you use the contact form on this website we collect your name, email address, and (optionally) your phone number, together with the message you send us. We do not collect any data automatically beyond what is described under Third Parties below.

Why we collect it

We collect your contact details solely to respond to your enquiry — for example, to answer a question, arrange a meet-and-greet, or discuss your pet's needs. We will not use your details for marketing without your separate consent.

Legal basis for processing

Processing your enquiry is necessary for our legitimate interests in running a pet care business and responding to prospective clients (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(f)). You are free to withdraw your enquiry at any time by contacting us at the email address above.

How long we keep your data

We retain your contact details only for as long as is necessary to deal with your enquiry. Once your enquiry has been resolved, or if no service agreement follows, your details are deleted within a reasonable period.

Third parties

This website uses two Google services that may process your IP address and, in the case of reCAPTCHA, behavioural data collected in your browser:

• Google reCAPTCHA v3 — used on the contact form to detect automated submissions. Your IP address and interaction data are sent to Google for analysis. See Google’s Privacy Policy.
• Google Fonts — typefaces are loaded directly from Google’s servers, which means your IP address is transmitted to Google when you visit any page. See Google Fonts privacy FAQ.

We do not sell or rent your personal data. We may use trusted service providers who process personal data on our behalf, such as website and email hosting providers. Where this applies, we take appropriate steps to ensure your information is handled securely and in accordance with applicable data protection law.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request erasure of your data
• Object to or restrict how we process your data
• Request a copy of your data in a portable format

Complaints

If you have a concern about how we handle your data, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the UK’s supervisory authority, the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), at ico.org.uk, but please contact us first, as this should only be used as an escalation if you are not happy with our response.

Cookies

This website uses a small number of cookies. A cookie is a tiny text file placed on your device. The cookies used here are limited to those strictly necessary for the site to function securely:

• PHPSESSID — a session cookie set by PHP when you visit the Contact page. It exists solely to hold a security token that prevents cross-site request forgery (CSRF) on the contact form. It is deleted when you close your browser and contains no personal information.
• _GRECAPTCHA — set by Google reCAPTCHA v3 when you visit the Contact page. It is used to distinguish human visitors from automated bots and is required for the contact form to operate. See Google’s Privacy Policy for full details.

No advertising, tracking, or analytics cookies are used on this website. Because the cookies above are strictly necessary for security, they do not require your prior consent under UK PECR. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but doing so will prevent the contact form from working.

This policy was last updated on 23 August 2026. We may update it from time to time; the current version will always be available on this page.
